You have said everything that me and other white people have been discussing for a long time. The way blacks are allowed to behave in public is disgusting. Keep up the good work.

What saddens me is realizing many whites have become, or are becoming racist, because of what's going on in this country due to the outrageous behavior of arrogant people of color, the attempts at making whites loathe themselves, the unfair practices of affirmative action and DEI, and letting black and brown people off the hook because of racism in the past. It's understandable that white people feel safer giving all black people a wide berth.

We are not becoming racist, we are just no longer denying what we see and experience. We are sick of being abused and we are standing our ground.

The reason I think it can be called racist --- or at least it's moving in that direction --- is that we will get to the point where we judge people negatively as soon as we see the color of their skin. It's so ironic that being falsely called racist ad nauseam can push people toward racism.

I live in a community that is as black as it is white. No problem. But I have issues with racist white progressives who need to believe that all whites are as racist as they are.

Oh, I agree. I still think it's possible to become racist b/c of what we're experiencing as white people in this country.

What makes a person a racist probably has many causes. Only some blacks buy into the progressive bullshit. I'm not going to hate all blacks for what only a few do. Maybe some feel that way, and if they do, they are as racist as the progressives.

I don't disagree with a single word that you said. Or what Nancy M. is saying, either. How I am feeling, though, is my heart sinking when I see a black person. Whether they are racist or not. And that to me is racism: feeling negatively about a person based on appearances. I hate feeling like that, but I personally am being driven to it.

No. It's not the skin color, it's the attitude and unprovoked hostility. They are the racists, not us.

What saddens me is intelligent commenters like yourself who continue to give legitimacy to what was always an illegitimate abstraction - “racism.”

When someone claims they don't understand an argument while clearly demonstrating understanding, it's a tactic often used to avoid engaging with the actual point or to manipulate the conversation. But nice try.

Is it really racism though? Or is it decades of learned experience and not being able to ignore the very real fear that this person could potentially harm you in some way? I get that same feeling about homeless men on the street, regardless of skin color, though most are black. And pitbulls or any big dogs. I think worrying about whether it's racist is a waste of energy, exactly what Gad Saad means when he talks about suicidal empathy. And even if it was racist, so what? If the black person you cringe at turns out to disprove the stereotype, great, but you're allowed to be skeptical until you see proof that no harm will come to you. It doesn't mean we're all going to start burning crosses on our lawns, or advocating for separate toilets again. And lastly, it's not just white people who fear black people or have"black fatigue", it's most civilized people on the planet of all races, including many black people. Why is it only ever white people who are the ones who can never ever be critical of or fear and avoid black people?

J Slayer's avatar

Also, why don't we care more about the victims of black crime and racism? I'm so tired of people worrying about racism - but only against against black people. What about racism by black people against white and Asians? It's openly, brazenly on display everywhere as if it was an entitlement of all black people because of slavery. I've been called white bitch, spit on, assaulted, mugged, and harassed by psychotic, angry, racist black people, men and women. I have feared for my life in so many situations. Those individuals clearly hate white people, to almost murderous degrees. But the concern is white people becoming racist?

They changed the definition of "racism" from "presuming negative qualities of a person based merely on skin color" to "a person in a position of societal power/privilege (which can only ever be a white person, and includes ALL white people) presuming negative qualities of a dark-skinned person based merely on skin color."

Frederick Roth's avatar

Even further than that - the definition is now skewing to "anything a white person says or does". As others have noted above there is a wave of resentment building up amongst non-woke mainstream white people that may APPEAR like racism but is actually perfectly legitimate sense of grievance about being railroaded.

Your show on White Guilt featured the most honest, plainly spoken observations I've seen regarding this incident and subject. You were blunt, no-holds-barred and passionate, a refreshing depiction of what many believe but have been cowed into not saying. Cowed out of fear and retribution. Certainly, fears that aren't unfounded. I've said it numerous times on different sensitive subjects, but thank you again for your courage and honesty and saying the quiet part out loud.

The show pointed out one thing I hadn’t seen addressed in whatever commentary I’d paid attention to: where were the (5? 10?) year old black child’s PARENTS? That may be (another) crucial point being ‘missed’. So thank you.

This was the first time I sat down and watched your show, and now I completely understand why you use the Cluster B lens—you’re absolutely right (not that you need my validation).

I really enjoyed your take on this, the occasional cursing, and the “video below” comment—so real and so good. I didn’t know enough about the story, so thank you for unpacking it.

It’s not easy to run this type of show. You’re so good at it. Love it.

I've been afraid of Hutus and Tutsis for several years now.

Any time one group is demonized as The Reason Everything Sucks, that sets the stage for some kind of ethnic cleansing. Human societies are all too good at scapegoating Teh Other and then attempting to purge the "cancer" from the system. The society enters a frenzied state and doesn't stop until way too much blood is spilled.

I don't know how such cleansing happens to a majority population -- maybe that's why there's been a concerted effort to import "the global majority," so that the numbers favor -- at the very least -- a kind of apartheid, if not outright cleansing.

Unless something absolutely arrests this trajectory, we're going to commit an atrocity.

The FBI and journalists have been covering the alleged increase rise of autism in the Somali community in Minnesota. It’s a giant scam meant to funnel federal dollars and is being investigated by the FBI. Here’s one article, but just search for “Somali autism scam” and you can get more details.

I have a correction for this episode. Veronica (teacher tone) Escobar is the representative from El Paso, TX. For some reason, a lot of the females here talk like that. But of course, what she is arguing is ridiculous, too. Can you imagine if ICE deported the illegal parents but forced their children to stay behind?

It may ease your mind a bit, Josh, if you listen to Jason Whitlock, a veteran sportswriter and a member of the Blaze ream. Just the other day he did a podcast (it's called Fearless) titled "Black Fatigue," in which he talked about this very theme. If Jasmine Crockett doesn't turn off black Americans, nothing will.

Hi Josh,

Can you tell me your snail-mail address? You used to have a PO in Burlington but I presume that's likely not valid any longer. AND.... yahoo has locked me out of my old account bc I cannot remember my pw, so unless/until I can find it, I have no access to my emails (including the one where you told me the address. Argh.) Thanks much.

There are two elements to the situation, I think: (1) leveraging white people's decency (and fear of social disapproval) to suppress their natural tendency to promote not racist policies but meritocratic and color-blind ones. (2) Endowing nonwhite people with extra social capital and the hostility to aggress against white people, and then aggressively justify it. I would like to ask some of these people: what are some behaviors of black people against white people that are NOT okay? What is condemnable? In the eyes of many people the answer is literally 'nothing.'

Of course, the media and the culture Blob nervously attempts to sweep the results of these changes under the rug. You will NEVER see anti-white racism or crime or violence (even against children) portrayed as a real problem, and you will never see the merest hints of anti-black crime (paltry as they are) portrayed as anything other than a nationwide crisis. This is the narrative. FOLLOW THE NARRATIVE! Follow it! Don't ask questions. You wouldn't want people to think that you're racist, would you?

Ya know? That voice lilt thing is super, uber feminine, and it has always annoyed the absolute shit out of me. It feels like a weird in group dialect that a lot of women fall into with each other, that is part of some elaborate ritual of bonding and establishing trust, but it just creeps me out. It slows down conversation and just wastes so much time, in addition to adding an unneeded emotional edge. Obviously some gay dudes do it to some extent, but it’s nothing like the painfully compulsive, anxious, sing song age regression or whatever the women are doing.

Is it a pleading tone? Is that why it’s so annoying? A weird, passive aggressive pleading? I think that might be why it annoys me. It sounds and feels like a kid trying to manipulate to get something. “Yeah, but… can I have it pleeeeeeease even though I know you don’t to give it to meeee?”

I feel like it was already bad when you and I were growing up (Valley Girls! So gnarly; gag me with a spoon). I was in California, though, where it started (apologies for that pain we inflicted on the world). It seems sooo much worse now. Or, rather, the women who do it seem so much worse. The women who don’t are obviously unchanged. Is it because nobody actually has discussions in person anymore? It’s so obviously an affectation but it also seems compulsive and anxiety driven.

For all the meticulous care so many of these women put into their appearance, they don’t seem to have any clue how they are coming across. Narcissism will do that, I guess!

We are guilting, apologizing, third worlding and low birth rating ourselves out of existence. There is still so much worth saving of Western civilization. Now is the time to stop apologizing for slavery (individually and collectively) and staying silent in daily interactions in our own lives (family, friends, work, everywhere it's physically safe) whenever and wherever we encounter the "trauma response" of white guilt.

Really like your term "toxic empathy." I agree that the "1 in 16 Somali children are autistic" is bullshit. I also think that Ilhan Omar is a gold star Cluster B. It is indeed narcissistic abuse and violence both one on one and in groups. Thank you for including the 60's as the beginning of the insanity. That Colorado state representative gave himself away with that extreme hand wringing before he finally vomited out his "standing before a trans Jesus" comment. He doesn't really believe in what he said. He wanted to stand out for his "virtue" signaling. Weak and yes, satanic.
