I have to try this sometime, although I was disappointed to see it doesn’t ACTUALLY contain rattlesnake. (I collect old/odd cookbooks so I was braced to see anything!)
Where can grownups buy a peppermill that actually works and doesn't cost a fortune? I've got three crappy ones in the cupboard that don't work well after just a few users and I've had to resort to preground pepper, which isn't bad if you spend a little more on a good brand, but still not as good as freshly ground. Thanks in advance for any leads.
I bought an Oxo pepper mill off of Amazon several years ago and it's serviceable. I bought it for the adjustable grind but for $20, it has worked quite well.
Definitely making this recipe. I have all the ingredients and I'm also on a mission to prepare meals from my freezer and pantry until I am forced to go to the grocery store! My next shopping trip might not be until the first week of February. Which reminds me, I need to get some micro greens and sprouts growing, so I'll have some fresh greens. Thanks for the recipe, Josh. I'll let you know how it turns out.
I find it delicious. I hope you enjoy it. Yeah, it goes well with tender greens for salad. All you want is olive oil and lemon juice or vinegar for the seasoning.
Looks good except for the chicken breast cubes. Just don’t like it in pasta. I’d just increase the amount of sausage or leave it out entirely. Otherwise it looks pretty yummy.
Oh, how I wish I could try it. It looks amazing. I'm one of those ridiculous people with health issues that equate to no gluten and ridiculously reduced amounts of sodium and animal-based proteins - well, total protein in general actually, but the animal is more problematic.
You are such a good laugh, Josh Slocum.
Rattlesnake pasta!!
What do you drink with it?
Snake juice??
Got me-I ain't name it! :)

I bet Josh knows. I have the same question. I've yet to find one that performs well without becoming dull or faulty way too soon.
I want to know the same thing. I'm never satisfied with mine either.
Williams-Sonoma!!!! Or any Italian (from Italy) store online! And yes - they cost a (small) fortune BUT....

Peugeot pepper mills are nice, might be a little pricy though.

Where's the rattlesnake?? They actually aren't bad eating, they taste like squirrel.
I just put out the ingredients. So let’s see. Will be the food tonight.

Go for it. It really is delicious. Would be great with all sausage.

You are a man of many talents. Bravo!
"1lb andouille sausage or similar, something with a bite"
You're hysterical, Josh! Was that an intentional ingredient description for your 'Rattlesnake Pasta?'
Wife goals
Looks like it would be good for people who can tolerate spiciness. Sadly, I often choke even on black pepper. I suspect that’s how I will die.
