Leslie Elliott (“the radical center” on Youtube) was woke-canceled out of her counseling degree program at Antioch. She invited me on her show to talk about the Cluster B capture in our culture. We discuss the degradation of the therapeutic industry, the way modern “mental health” encourages cognitive distortions, even to the point of praising narcissistic/histrionic behaviors instead of trying to resolve them.
When I first read “Antioch,” I incorrectly assumed it was the liberal arts college in Yellow Springs, which was a radical hotbed even back I was a student at a different Ohio college in the ‘80s. Now I know: different Antioch, and it seems that everyone should beware any school bearing that name.
You think that's bad...more than once I have had to manually correct my company's resume storage software, which keeps insisting that I have a BA from the University of Indiana. I have a BA from Indiana University. There *is* a University of Indiana -- but it's in Pennsylvania.
Thanks for posting, Josh. I love it when you podcasters notify your audience of appearances on other shows so we can discover new voices. As info, I found you because of your interview on 'Triggernometry' and I haven't missed a 'Disaffected' episode since.
Was waiting for this one to happen. When I watched Leslie's first video about Antioch I thought "she should really talk to Josh."

Looking forward to the premiere this afternoon!
Wait---this is new information to me. Are you saying there is an additional, different, "Antioch?"
If there is, would you please link to it?

Well, that's confusing, isn't it?
Yes, although I guess it’s not that unusual. For instance, you’d be surprised how many colleges are named Wesleyan!

That is so ignunt.
Wow! Terrific discussion. I have a cultural family!

Great conversation.
