I too didn't quite understand Mr. Montalban's logic the first time. But the second time I got it. The bad faith the public radio station showed in misquoting Mr. Montalban is stunning. I hope you press them for an apology.

As for the mask funeral, I suspect that it's a stunt organized by a film-maker who wants visuals for their documentary to mark the "end of COVID restrictions." I wouldn't see it as a genuine popular uprising.

We got word today about our hospitals' and clinics' mask policy (here in Portland, Oregon). Universal masking for employees when taking care of patients. Masking still in place for emergency department, behavioral health, oncology units and critical care units. Masking not required for visitors. Masking not required at the nurse's station, break rooms, or conference rooms.

Here in Asia some of us are trying to leave mask muntain too. Only got shouted at once in the last couple of days for not wearing the stupid thing.

My understanding of your position is that there's no such thing as trans and that transgender is always a mental illness. But, some cultures look at it differently.

In Hawaii, a state legislator was banned from participating in a parade because he had the audacity to question why a rainbow flag was being displayed at a public middle school.

Maybe, you would care to comment on this if you have time.
