The etiquette / social skill thing is SO true. A lot of the anxiety young men and women have about dating is that there is no longer any kind of dating etiquette. Everything has to be negotiated from scratch, and I'm not just talking about sex.

And the people it hurts the most are the people who have less of an instinct about human relationships. Especially since a lot of etiquette is arbitrary and culturally determined. And no, most of the "arbitrary" has nothing to do with sex roles, yada, yada. Some cultures, you shake hands, some you bow. Vulgarity is scatalogical some places, disease related some places, sex related other places. You either pick this stuff up by observation or being directly taught or by instinct (the latter which means you observe without being conscious of what you're observing). Because Judith Martin is right -- acting badly will get you isolated. Even if you have no idea what you're doing wrong.

I especially liked this episode, Josh. I shared it in multiple places.

As far as the nekkid person, plenty of women act inappropriately sexual around their kids. I know because my mom did shit like that. The point stands.

Josh, I think I got a glimpse after your last show of what it must feel like living in your world. I wanted to broadcast the whole show to the world, it was so great! but made do with X-ing a few quotes & screenshots. Within a few hours, I received a message from X, saying the reach of my account had been limited for what I don't know, because they never say (must be the posts in which I encouraged people to avoid spending their $ with companies who left Twitler after Elon Musk bought it); and I had a couple of messages I posted on the Telegraph site deleted... I'm sick of arguing with X, so I took a vacation from the platform, don't miss it at all. I admire your courage – if only more men had Josh-style cojones! ;) Wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving :)
