I so have to laugh out loud when you're talking, particularly about the smart machines like the washing machine, that was great. Yes and the rest along with that, is insanity...you are a voice of sanity, humour, care and great compassion and a breath of fresh air!

Hey Josh, I watched a 1942 Bette Davis movie yesterday, “In This Our Life.” She gives a great performance of a Cluster B woman who spreads destruction wherever she goes. You might check it out sometime!

So no one told them that life would suck sometimes, or what?

I have to say it. I never had kids, but if I did, this shit would not fly. The worst thing a person can do is indulge self pity and learned helplessness. These breakdowns and tantrums should embarrass the hell out of them! Then they insult us (older people) and hate on us while they demand we treat them like spoiled children and take care of their needs. From what I gather, they treat their bosses like parents, too. Yet, it’s never their fault, right?

No ego death, because they avoid everything difficult or painful. Sheltered, as you say. But without ego death, you can’t build character or confidence. You can’t know yourself if you never grow. You need to be broken, multiple times in your life. If you never experience it, you’re just reacting without thinking. I actually kinda looked forward to it (I was weirdly counterphobic). It can even be an interesting process to witness from within.

I haven’t finished watching this episode, but I was so inspired I couldn’t wait. Good one, Josh!
