At least my legal qualifications (both UK & Commonwealth) were all decent and rigorous, as were the foreign languages I studied as an undergraduate. I did have to do six theory subjects as part of that degree, though, and I lied my way through all of them, as explained here: https://helendale.substack.com/p/dont-take-criticism-from-people-you

Learning to be a careful reader, being exposed to a variety of traditions I'd never known, my film theory and practical instruction, and my brief course in Latin were worthwhile.

So was learning how to move in circles higher than my trashy upbringing prepared me for.

The rest was poison.

It is hard to mess up foreign languages and how to use a camera; I hear you on that. Until recently (although the US is trying to provide an example), it was similarly difficult to mess up law.

Legal theory is being corrupted across the field in the US. You have lawyers being given degrees who don't understand the Constitution, and/or explicitly call for its replacement or enfeeblement.

I think I've told you about my having to instruct lawyers (lawyers, people with degrees I don't have) about the 9th amendment, enumerated rights, and statutory construction.

That any true conservative would pay for or subsidize their children's higher education at any university, whether state or ivy, is nothing short of astonishing to me. Most of these institutions are nothing but leftist propaganda and indoctrination mills, turning out uneducated leftist drones. Same goes for government K-12 education. Protect your children by shielding them from these dins of iniquity.
