Thanks for sharing that lovely moment. I cherish the few people who are left who connect me to the pre-me past.

I remember my mom taking me downtown with her to do some clothes shopping, when I was a small boy in 1962. We were just riding the bus a few miles to go to Macy's, but she put on a nice dress and gloves, and had me wear slacks, my leather dress shoes, and a white button-up shirt.

It was a different world.

If we all noticed these moments, occasions and happenstances such as you described and so many more worth noticing, wouldn't it be a wonderful world😌

Still smiling …. Thanks Josh …. Was she wearing a brooch? It’s one of the things I miss the most , wondering what pin Josephine would be wearing on Sunday

Josh, I don't know why most of your essays make me cry. I think it's because they're so perfect and true.

Many of them make me cry, too, when I write them. Bittersweet is my bag, I suppose.

I don't think I realized until after the election how badly I need normalcy and sanity again. Who knew there were so many people who actually think that boys do not need tampons and sanitary pads in the boys' room in elementary school? I love it when people meet your gaze, smile, and say hello. So many won't even respond when I smile and say hi.

Thanks for the post about unacceptable female behavior. Unfotunately, it seems that comments were disabled on that post. Now the psychos talk about poisoning men, as you know. For that reason, I am avoiding Starbucks, and other food and drink places staffed by young leftist women.
