It's the best time to subscribe to Disaffected

First, a huge thank you to all of you who subscribe to Disaffected here, free and paid. We (we is me and Kevin Hurley, the producer half of our weekly show) are lucky to have you as viewers, readers, and subscribers.

We don’t have advertisers or sponsors, but we have you, the reading/watching/listening audience. Your support makes our show, and the writing here, possible, and we’re grateful.

Times are tough for everyone right now. We’ve lowered the subscription price here from $10 a month to $7; we know most people have a cap on what they can spend supporting writers and show creators. I’d rather have your support at a price you can afford than lose you!

Paid subscribers get access to our members-only essays and posts and the ability to comment on them and interact with other readers.

And if you don’t want to commit to a monthly subscription, we’ve got options below that will let you throw a bit of change in the jar to help as a one-off. Every dollar helps, and we’re glad to get them.

—A monthly subscription is now $7 per month, 30% lower than before. You’ll be helping produce our show and the writing here, and you’ll get access to the Disaffected Discord chat server.

—Are you an existing subscriber who wants to take advantage of the new rate? Substack does not automatically change the rate for those who have already subscribed. But you can cancel your paid subscription and then sign up again. This will give you the new rate.
