"Let's celebrate the challenge of getting an abortion."
"I challenge you to celebrate my abortion."
"Though challenging, the abortion was worth celebrating."
Ha, ha!
And when the one-syllable "good," "cool," "neat" expanded to the two-syllable "awesome.," the corporate, bureaucratic, managerial minds decided "phenomenal"--four syllables--best showed that one was both serious and playful in one's praise of, oh say, the salad dressing and the new CEO. And one was also capable of pronouncing a long word.
I think "phenomenal" has been retired, but was briefly replaced by "exponential" during the era of Covid bothering.
Thank you, Nathalie. I love yours, too. It would have been so much better if we hadn't lost the interview with a psychiatrist to electronic corruption. But we'll redo it.
What I think is that many people externalize their anger, feeding it, rather than seeing it and going within.
Josh isn't doing that because he's coming from a place of already going within emotionally. He's being a hero.
People are differnt I guess.
Me, for example, I got into the habit of indulging anger and negative emotion by externalizing it without internal consideration-but rather distancing my self from authenticity.
Why?
Well Josh says it himself-being bullied into complacency, not speaking truth, but rather living inside a mind prison of contradiction.
"Journey" is another one of those irritating words.
"Celebrate"
"challenge" (noun, verb, what have you)
"Let's celebrate the challenge of getting an abortion."
"I challenge you to celebrate my abortion."
"Though challenging, the abortion was worth celebrating."
Ha, ha!

Nice Josh! I know what you mean about language.
One phrase that I’m seeing consistently is full grown adults—wonderful, educated, conscientious people—beginning many sentences with “I feel like….”
They use this in place of stating actual, measurable observations, or beliefs. It is a form of gaslighting oneself.
Also, do you have any thoughts or opinions on the overuse of the passive voice?
Or should I say: the passive voice is being overused. 😂 (sorry, couldn’t help it.)
Thank you Josh for stating things clearly and simply.
I so love your work Josh.

Josh while we're at it can we not say 'colonized new terretory'?

Josh thank you for saying it needn't be so.
