Living in the UK, I’m so jealous of the sanity that’s returning to the US. It appears we’re continuing headlong into the madness. Here’s an example I read this morning. You can just see the dumbing down and infantilising of people with the use of cluster B language. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14352427/amp/Network-Rail-training-manual-passenger-gender-neutral.html

While I've never been a parent (thank god) what I noticed starting with very late Baby Boomers (such as myself) is a parenting style in which children are considered peers/friends and are to be indulged at every whim and protected from the least bit of adversity. While in part this was a positive response to Silent Generation parents which often paid little to no attention to childhood trauma (hence allowed intense bullying and ignoring child abuse and considering it a "family affair") it like most things once lefties get their hands on became a force of evil. The result? Adults that act like toddlers. Adults that can't sustain employment. Adults still living as children with mommy and daddy. Adults that are perpetual victims. Adults that have personality traits of children. Adults addicted to various substances. And so on.

This was such a great show. The set is looking great and I love all the blue. Both you and Kate Wand did a fantastic job. Hopefully a lot of people will watch and see that they aren't alone in trying to heal and do better with their kids while avoiding the "gentle parenting" trap. Also, thank you for speaking so strongly about infant male circumcision. I know that's a taboo topic but I really appreciate it.

On the Gulf of America: I’ve taken Spanish classes and have been told that I can’t say ‘soy Americana’; I must say ‘soy estadounidense’. ‘Americano’ doesn’t narrow down which part of the two American continents I mean—a Mexican or Argentine is likewise Americano. By the same token, the Gulf should be the Gulf of America! Because it belongs to all of us! Right?

I like Josh’s take as well :)

Brilliant show, guest and new studio. I have met ( many sadly cowed into silence) quite a few "repentant" boomers ( self titled) who deeply regret their former 60's/ 70's and on trance and how long it's taken to come out of it. I always honor them.

Thank you for your courage (yes, I think it takes a lot of courage indeed) to explore and share your wisdom about "third rail" topics like death, grieving, funeral "homes" and practices. It was your former employer's loss but our gain. My sister and I decided to go against what was expected of us by relatives and the funeral director and not have the last view of our father be his embalmed face.
