I read substack entirely through this app, and they still won't allow anything through subscriptions. I don't have a credit card and I'm very hesitant to

give out my bank card number. Any suggestions?

I'm not quite sure what to suggest, James. All purchases on the Internet require a bank card or credit card number. Every single one from buying a book on Amazon to making a charitable donation. If you're unwilling to do that, it sounds to me like you've made a decision never to make any purchases on the Internet. That's fine, of course, but yeah-if you're not willing to use a bank card number, you can't make purchases of any kind or sign up to anything like Substack.

There's no "other way" to do it--the Internet doesn't use paper checks.

I'm not sure what "they still won't allow anything through subscriptions" means; too vague.

If I'm not understanding you, I'm sorry, but that's what it seems like to me now.

I really appreciate you reading just the same.

They (substk) won't allow you to subscribe specificaly through the app. Tells me that I have to go to the web version of substk instead? I have my bank card for my apple id and uber, but it makes me nervous to have to use these things like this.

I would def. go to the web/pc browser interface, and avoid the app, for making payments if you choose to do that. Your membership will be reflected in the app, but the web interface is much easier to use (I rarely use the app for anything but browsing notes because it's a crappy app).

The media was clearly embarrassed about this event and is trying to bury it as quickly as possible.

If I were the RNC I would spend millions of dollars and play 30 second clips of this event on primetime and YouTube for months... right before the next elections.

The Democratic Party has become the party of Joy Reid viewers. 2026 is going to be another watershed year. If the Dems lose more Congressional and Senate seats it's headed to a party that only can win state and local elections in blue cities/states.

Watch the John Fetterman and those like him leave the party. Maybe they go Independent but they leave.

There's a lesson in there somewhere for the rest of us. Don't get cocky, maybe? Mind the basics?

btw, what so we call ourselves now? Republicans, Conservatives, MAGAts? I actually kinda like that last one, the others may not fit all of us.

The "people of non-colour" line... Good lord. The race hustlers and narcissists already call themselves the "global majority", guess it wasn't going to take long before they rolled out racist terms for whites.

You can see the implication -- POCs are whole; the default human. Whites meanwhile are defined only in opposition to POCs. Non-colour = non-entity.

Un-fucking-believable that these people are given serious platforms for spewing their bullshit.

Thank you for another brilliant video. Yes, what USAID gets paid to do is ACTUAL colonialism. Although I think most leftists don't give a flying fuck about it being named, that one is particularly potent and important for us to call out. "Best practices?" How about GTFO!" "To those on the right: Stop using "transgender girls and women. They are men. " The "grandfather energy" of Trump signing the E.O. surrounded by girls and women. Refreshing to see this healthy, happy moment, so unlike the psychopathic pervert crypt keeper sniffer Biden. The black woman with "tarantula lashes and claws." (No offense to tarantulas) Just as an aside, did anyone else notice the closed captioning (which is based on how a word sounds) transcribed "axe" for "ask?" Hope Walz copying black women's gestures of finger pointing, circling and jabbing for some kind of fake gravitas. She's a dangerous young dope. Last but not least: "This is not a time for us to be nicey nice for fear of "going too far..." and to the "oppressed" groups: "You are worried about losing what you're not entitled to."
